Unlike keyword search, Emily’s semantic search understands the meaning of your query. Ask natural questions like "What has the government said about NHS waiting times?" and Emily will find the most relevant results across all parliamentary data sources.

Emily syncs daily with official UK Parliament data sources, including Hansard, the Questions API, and the Bills API. She processes new activity and filters it based on your sectors and issues of interest.

Yes, cancel anytime from Settings → Billing. You’ll retain access until the end of your current billing period. No cancellation fees or long-term contracts.

Every piece of data in Emily comes directly from official UK Parliament and GOV.UK APIs. Emily never fabricates data — all AI-generated summaries and briefings include direct “View Source” links to the original parliamentary record so you can verify every claim. We do not editorialize or add commentary to official records.

Is Emily GDPR compliant?

Yes. Emily is operated by Sinatra AI Ltd, registered in England & Wales. All personal data is processed in accordance with UK GDPR. We use Supabase with Row Level Security for data isolation, encrypt data at rest and in transit, and never sell or share your data with third parties. Parliamentary data is sourced from publicly available official APIs. You can request data deletion at any time.

How is my data protected?

Emily uses Supabase with Row Level Security (RLS) enabled on every table, meaning your data is strictly isolated from other users. All data is encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.2+). We use Sentry for error monitoring with PII stripping enabled, and PostHog analytics respects your cookie consent preferences.

Where is my data stored?

Your account data and parliamentary records are stored in Supabase (hosted in the EU). Semantic search embeddings are stored in Qdrant Cloud. AI conversations are processed via Google Gemini with no data retention on their side. We do not transfer personal data outside jurisdictions covered by UK adequacy decisions.

Can I request data deletion?

Yes. You can delete your account and all associated data from Settings → Account → Delete Account. Alternatively, email support@emilypolitics.com with a Subject Access Request (SAR) or deletion request and we will process it within 30 days as required by UK GDPR.

What security certifications does Emily have?

Emily follows security best practices including: encrypted data at rest and in transit, row-level security for data isolation, rate limiting on all API endpoints, CRON_SECRET authentication on background jobs, Sentry error monitoring, and regular dependency audits. We are working towards SOC 2 Type II certification.
