Westminster Bench
How Emily is measured, in public
These are real tasks a public-affairs professional does every week — looking up written questions, checking division numbers, tracking a bill, profiling a member. Emily runs each one and is graded mechanically: do the citations resolve to the official record, do the claims survive verification against what was actually retrieved, and does the answer meet the task's pinned expectations — including saying “the record shows nothing” when it does.
Results are task-level pass/fail. We don't publish a headline percentage, because a single number invites gaming and hides exactly the failures you'd want to know about. The task set and grading code are versioned with the product; changing either is a visible code change.
The first published run is pending. The task set below is live now, so you can see exactly what will be measured before any results appear.

Methodology
- Every task runs through the same engine paying customers use, restricted to read-only parliamentary search — no hand-tuned answers, no retries.
- Citations: links must resolve to the official record — hansard.parliament.uk, bills.parliament.uk, committees.parliament.uk, members.parliament.uk and the other parliament.uk/gov.uk domains. A citation anywhere else fails the check.
- Claims:the product's own claim-verification pass judges every checkable claim against what was actually retrieved. Any contradicted claim fails the task.
- Honesty tasks: some tasks are deliberately unanswerable from the record. The passing answer says so; an invented answer fails.
- Runs are dated; each is a committed, reviewed change. The harness, task set and grading code ship in the product repository.
