Frequently Asked Questions
Is there a free trial?
Yes. One free trial per account: your first 7 days are free on whichever plan you choose at checkout. A card is required to start, nothing is charged during the trial, and the price you will pay afterwards is shown plainly where you enter it. Cancel online before the trial ends and you will not be billed. After the trial, the subscription renews each month (or each year on annual billing) until you cancel online. A seat that has already used its trial is charged from the first invoice, as the card wall says.
How much does it cost?
Standard is £69/month (inc. VAT) with 200 monthly credits (1 seat). Professional is £149/month (inc. VAT) with 700 monthly credits (1 seat). Annual billing gets two months free. Every plan includes every feature: no add-ons. Small teams are arranged directly, seats on request.
How do credits work?
Credits meter Emily's research time. Quick questions cost about 1 credit; deeper research or document drafting costs a few more. Daily briefings and tracked stakeholders don't use credits. Watching never uses your credits. Keyword alerts and alert emails are free. Once a day Emily also reads for meaning: about a quarter of a credit a day of her own spend, capped at the cost of 2 credits a day, and paused if your allowance is used up. A weekly stream digest with six or more items may open with a short Emily roll-up: about a fifth of a credit of her own spend, capped at the cost of 2 credits a day, and paused if your allowance is used up. If you ever need more, one-off top-up packs are available in Settings: Emily uses your monthly allowance first, then the pack, and a pack runs down once. It never renews and never auto-charges.
Is WhatsApp required?
WhatsApp is optional. You link it yourself in Settings and can unlink at any time; the web app and email carry everything, so a workplace that restricts WhatsApp loses nothing.
What about teams?
Team and organisation-wide plans are arranged directly: pooled credits across your seats, one invoice in your organisation's name, and pricing that fits how many of you there are. Book a demo and you'll get a quote in writing.
