Methodology
Emily’s database is kept in sync with the official publications by scheduled jobs running from every ten minutes to daily. The counts above are live count(*) reads of those tables at the timestamp shown. The underlying records always link back to the official publication.
How far behind a dataset is depends on its source, not on us. Contracts Finder publishes continuously; the Electoral Commission publishes donations quarterly and months in arrears; ministerial gifts arrive in a monthly register. The Freshness column is measured, not asserted: for each dataset we compare the date of the newest record we hold, and the date we last added a row, against the rhythm that source actually publishes on. A dataset that falls behind is marked here and on our status page automatically. Nothing on this page claims a refresh rate by hand.
